One of our driving goals and missions here at At The Roots LLC is to increase accessibility to peer support and provide as much care and love for our communities as we possibly can. When At The Roots LLC was founded, the only way most people were able to access peer support was through county CCS or treatment programs. But the truth is, we could all use a trained peer mentor or specialist to support us at times - regardless of our insurance or eligibility to pay.

Due to ARPA grant funding, At The Roots LLC has the opportunity to now provide more free or reduced-cost peer support and mentoring for those in need beginning in November of 2022.

Because this funding is finite and limited, we ask that if you’re eligible for a CCS program in your county, and you’re able, that you apply for that first. However, if you do not qualify or do not feel comfortable with applying for those programs you’re more than welcome to apply for our financial assistance.

How to qualify

All you need to do is fill out our easy application. We will then review the information you provide and determine whether you qualify for free or reduced-fee sessions. Income qualification is based on 300-400% of the poverty guidelines. Extenuating circumstances will also be taken into account.

After the application

Once you complete the application, one of our leadership team will review the information you’ve provided. In very rare cases we may ask for additional information or proof of income. Once you’ve been approved at a qualifying level, you will meet with us to determine the goals and number of sessions covered.

What happens next?

You and your provider will figure out a schedule that works for both of you for your covered sessions. If you are paying a reduced fee, our leadership team will give you access to a portal to pay your share before each session. You will meet with your provider to work on your established goals.

What happens if I miss a session?

Cancellations of sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited and the funds will be returned to the scholarship pool. If you paid a partial fee, you will be refunded that money.

What if I need more support after my allotted sessions are up?

Once you’ve exhausted your sessions, you’re welcome to reapply for further consideration. Other funding recipients who are waiting for support will go to the top of the list. This means there may be a wait for continued services if they’re available. We cannot guarantee funding or provider availability for additional sessions.
