Rebuilding Opportunities & Offering Transformative Support

R.O.O.T.S.

🌿 One shared root system. Many ways to grow.🌿

Here at At The Roots LLC, we believe that real change takes time, trust, and support. Our R.O.O.T.S. (Rebuilding Opportunities and Offering Transformative Support) programs were designed to meet people where they’re at - offering practical tools, supportive relationships, and pathways forward for those navigating challenges related to mental health, substance use, legal system involvement, or life transitions.

The R.O.O.T.S. branch is one of the ways we nurture our community at At The Roots LLC. This part of our work focuses on practical, hands-on support - honoring and respecting where people are and being there as they take their next step, whatever that may be.

These programs were created for different entry points: some folks are reconnecting with community after incarceration, some are navigating early recovery or building life skills, some are young people exploring who they want to be, and others just need a hand before things reach a crisis point.

No matter the starting point, the goal is the same: to offer support that centers people and their strengths, stories, and self-defined goals) even when working within larger systems.

For Adults:

Building Opportunities for Strength and Stability is a short-term, goal-focused program designed to build real-world skills like budgeting, boundary setting, job readiness, and more. Think of it as a confidence boost with a curriculum.

Deflection is an early intervention approach that connects people to support instead of the justice system. When things are heading in a risky direction, deflection offers a different path - before a crisis happens.

Groundwork offers peer support focused on connection and stability for those who are incarcerated or reentering the community. No judgment, no agenda - just someone to be there as you begin again.

For Youth:

A 10-session, one-on-one program that helps youth explore their identity, values, and choices. Through guided self-reflection and supportive connection, participants build confidence, empathy, and decision-making skills - laying the foundation for healthy relationships and personal growth.

Seed Work helps youth understand what drives their decisions and practice healthier ways to think, choose, and act.
Based on the Keepin’ It REAL curriculum and customized with Stanford REACH Lab content when needed, it’s a flexible, skills-based program that turns reflection into growth.

A peer-led, evidence-based group for high school girls and college-aged individuals to challenge unrealistic beauty ideals, build self-esteem, and foster body acceptance. Through interactive discussions and activities, participants develop healthier body image and reduce the risk of disordered eating.

Whether someone is navigating release from jail, rebuilding life after setbacks, developing new skills, or simply figuring out who they want to be - we’re here for it.

Each of the R.O.O.T.S. programs offers a different kind of support, but they’re all rooted in the same belief:

People grow best when they’re met with care, curiosity, and community.
