Join us for a five-session virtual book club as we explore together Live Nourished: Make Peace with Food, Banish Body Shame, and Reclaim Joy by Shana Minei Spence.
This thoughtful book invites reflection on our relationships with food, body, and self-trust, and how culture, identity, and lived experience shape those relationships. We will use it to explore ideas, stories, and perspectives in conversation with one another.
The Lunch Table Book Club is for people who want good conversation without adding one more evening commitment to their calendar. Call it bite-sized connection for busy humans - thoughtful ideas, shared perspectives, and a break from the usual lunch scroll.
How It Works
We begin February 27th and meet five times total, from 12–1pm, all virtually.
Join from wherever you are - desk, kitchen table, or parked car with your lunch in hand.
Between sessions, participants read small portions of the book and come together each week to share reflections and perspectives. Discussions are gently guided to encourage thoughtful, respectful conversation and shared learning.
NOTE:
This book touches on body image, food relationships, and cultural pressures around health and worth. These topics can feel personal at times, and everyone is invited to engage at their own comfort level.
