Connection Specialist (he/Him/His)
Special Interests: Community Building & Natural Supports | Youth & Adolescent support | Life skills & purpose planning
I’m Jeremy, and I use he/him pronouns. Before becoming a peer support provider, I worked with youth at the Eau Claire County detention center. That experience really stuck with me. I saw how much it matters to have someone who believes in you, especially when life feels like it’s heading in the wrong direction. Being able to support young people as they worked to get back on track showed me how much I care about helping others in a real, hands-on way.
I’m especially drawn to working with people who feel stuck or like they’ve hit a wall in life. I know how heavy that can feel, and I want people to know they don’t have to figure it all out on their own. I bring a practical, supportive approach - I like to focus on building skills and working toward goals that actually matter to the person. We might practice things together in everyday situations, taking it step by step until it feels more natural and comfortable to use those skills in real life.
Outside of this work, I enjoy getting out and seeing new places, trying different kinds of food, and spending time with the people who matter most to me. My family, friends, and pets are a big part of my life, and I value those connections deeply. That sense of connection is something I try to bring into my work too.
